HOW IT WORKS
Sign in with GitHub or X and choose the country you want to represent. Takes about twenty seconds.
One command installs the CLI, logs you in, and turns on syncing in the background.

WHAT ACTUALLY SYNCS
BEFORE YOU PLAY
WHICH TOOLS DOES IT TRACK?
Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini CLI are the most common, but under the hood it reads anything ccusage supports, and that list keeps growing.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO GET STARTED?
Node.js and npm (that's what runs npx), a GitHub or X account to sign in with, and at least one of the tools above actually running on your machine. No usage yet is fine too, you just won't have anything to sync until you do.
WHY 250 COUNTRIES, NOT 195?
We didn't want to leave anyone out. 193 is the number of UN member states, plus two observer states, the Holy See and Palestine. We use the full ISO 3166-1 list instead, 250 codes in total, so places like Hong Kong, Taiwan, and smaller territories still get their own flag and their own board. Wherever you're from, there should be a place on here to represent it.
CAN I SWITCH COUNTRIES LATER?
Yes, if you've moved or just want to represent a different country. Settings → Country handles it, and it only applies going forward, so anything you've already synced stays credited to your old country.
DO I NEED TO KEEP A TERMINAL OPEN?
No. Run tokennations schedule once and it syncs in the background on its own — sync still works any time you want to trigger one by hand.
IF I SYNC TWICE, DOES IT DOUBLE-COUNT?
No. Each sync only credits usage since your last one, so running it again never inflates your total.
WHAT TIMEZONE IS EVERYTHING BASED ON?
UTC, for all of it, every sync, every day boundary, every leaderboard window. So if you're syncing close to midnight, which day it counts toward depends on UTC time, not wherever you are.
IS THIS SHOWING WHEN I CODED, OR WHEN I SYNCED?
When you synced. Tokens are credited to the day they're reported, not the day the work happened, so a machine that was offline for a week reports that whole week's usage on the day it comes back online.
CAN SOMEONE FAKE THEIR NUMBERS?
Every number comes from your own local usage logs, and re-syncing never credits the same activity twice — that's an actual mechanism, not just a policy promise.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I STOP SYNCING?
Nothing retroactive. Whatever you've already synced stays exactly where it is on the board, it just stops growing.
IS IT FREE?
Yes, free to use right now. If that ever changes, it'll be said here first, not sprung on anyone already on the board.
